The Olympic Games and the Gathering of Nations

One of the greatest things that human civilizations do is to get together for the Olympic Games every four years. It builds global unity and gives nations a sense of belonging to the whole of humanity. More than that it gives nations there own National Identity on the World Stage and allows them to rejoice in the spirit of nationalism themselves.

The Olympics gather up the greatest humans with the greatest ability and agility and test them against fellow man to see who claims top honors and genetics in athletic ability of all the Planet. There is probably no greater contest of strength and will all put together in one place than the Olympic Games.

Why does the United States win so many metals at the Olympic Games? Well, some would say it is due to the 300-million people we have to draw from for all the various categories and competitions. Others like me feel it is for the same reason that the United States dominates the modern Tour de France and that is because Americans are a cut above and winners by birth and identity.

The upcoming Olympic Games will test to see if American Athletes still hold the top honors and abilities as in previous years. Will they take more hardware than the other nations or will other emerging nations show they strength against the best athletes the world over. Watch and see say analysts and Olympic Game organizers. Consider all this in 2006.
